What’s happening?
News that Labour appears to be backing away from its pledge to reinstate the petrol and diesel car ban for 2030 broke at the weekend.
The Sunday Telegraph front page splashed with the news, but the story had little detail. In fact, read it closely and all the paper really quoted was sources and rumours.
However, for those in the industry that believe the 2030 ban is too soon, the fact it is making front page headlines will come as some relief. But what I found particularly interesting was the paper’s leader column.
